The outdoor classroom
Learning happens again and again in a child’s life and not just within the four walls of a classroom. Our teachers enhance our curriculum by planning trips around London, an international city with endless possibilities for learning. Students often visit museums, the Royal Parks, art galleries and children centres.
Every year, our Year 4, Year 5, and Year 6 classes take a three-day overnight trip. This adventure allows them to build new friendships, experience new activities, and bond as a school. Past trips have included PGL adventure centres, residential farm visits, and historical sites outside of London.
Technology in the classroom
As adults, we use the programme or device that best suits our needs and we teach children this same concept as they explore technology. Our students use a variety of devices to support their learning, including tablets, laptops, and interactive whiteboards. Another important aspect of our technology integration is teaching students how to be safe in an online environment.
In addition to the high calibre faculty in the regular classrooms, we have faculty with specialists degrees in experience in art, music, and physical education. These teachers work with all students throughout the week and allow our students to learn targeted skills in these important areas. Our students develop a love of learning in the different disciplines.
