As a proud International Baccalaureate World School, we offer the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) curriculum to all students. This curriculum model prepares students for a future of learning and success through exploration, hands-on experiences, and rigorous skill work.
Our curriculum includes all of the essential elements of a primary education, such as literacy, mathematics, science, history, art, music and essential social and emotional skills.
Units of inquiry
Learning is centred around six 'units of inquiry' for each year level, which enable students to learn about many different concepts about the world.
For example, in Year 6, one of the units is: Observing the natural world helps people respond to natural disasters. Students spend six weeks learning about the physical characteristics of Earth, scientific fieldwork, data collection, natural disaster causes and solution, and systems in society that help countries cope and prepare for disasters.
