About ICS

The International Community School is part of the SKOLA Group of Schools. It was established in 1979 as a small and friendly school by the Toettcher family. At first the school served as an English language school but quickly demand grew for a year round full curriculum programme. In addition to English language classes, the School began to offer the English curriculum for those who wished to continue their studies in central London.

Whilst the School has retained its friendly and welcoming atmosphere in recent years there has been considerable growth and development of the School, in terms of its academic programme, its facilities and the extra-curricular programmes that enhance student's experiences.

In June 2008, the International Community School gained International Baccalaureate World School status. Today, it is one of very few schools in the UK that offers the full range of International Baccalaureate programmes (Primary Years, Middle Years and Diploma) for students aged 3 - 18 years.

There are currently 250 students studying at ICS across the Primary campus located on the edge of Regent's Park and the Secondary campus near Hyde Park. The School community is truly diverse with over 45 different nationalities represented and this adds to the richness of our student's experience at the school.

The School continues to be operated by the Toettcher family and their commitment to ICS and the wider SKOLA group has enabled ICS to grow and flourish over the past 30 years.
