11-17 Secondary

Do you want to learn English by taking part in a street art workshop and tour with real artists? Express yourself through graffiti and visit some of the best street art in London.

The English School Experience course for children has run for 35 years, combining English language tuition with academic subjects.

The main focus throughout the course is development of English language, confidence and competence. Learners develop through class projects and lessons including maths, science, design, drama and music as well as English classes. Learners work collaboratively and are encouraged to do their own research in order to develop independent learning skills and enjoy an inquiry-based approach. In maths, there is a strong focus on numeracy and mental maths. In science, learners are engaged in experiments such as building their own hot air balloons.

Sports activities are chosen from football, ice-skating, tennis, basketball, rock-climbing, dance, yoga, bowling, badminton and volleyball. On Fridays, we use London as a resource for learning. We go into the city to a place of interest and develop language skills by interacting with the environment. Learners develop their language through worksheets, questionnaires and research tasks.
