The International Baccalaureate (IB) learner profile describes a broad range of human capacities. These go beyond academic success. They imply a commitment to help all members of the school community. The aim is for students to learn to respect themselves, others and the world around them.

ICS teaches students to be:

Inquirers

'We are curious and can research effectively'.

Knowledgeable

'We know about a wide range of things from around the world'.

Thinkers

'We can analyse situations and act ethically'.

Communicators

'We speak more than one language and can listen to other views'.

Principled

'We are honest, take responsibility for our actions and uphold human rights'.

Open-minded

'We appreciate our own culture and the traditions of others'.

Caring

'We are nice and help other people'.

risk-takers

'We try things and like a challenge'.

balanced

'We are healthy and look after and the world we live in'.

reflective

'We understand our strengths and weaknesses'.
