Outdoor Classroom

A central feature of ICS is maximising the use of the Outdoor Classroom across the curriculum. The school's central London location is used to the full by the teaching faculty to enhance learning and explore areas that are not possible within the classroom. Each unit of study is enriched by well-planned visits and activities that link to the fundamental concepts being studied.

These visits aim to provide excellent cross-curricular opportunities embedding 'deep learning'. They are inquiry led so that students take charge of their own learning; are fun and enjoyable and place the students in authentic locations where they can meet experts outside the school. They are also opportunities for our teaching faculty to learn about our students in new settings.
