History and Mission

The mission and vision underpin our guiding principles to ensure students grow and develop to realise future success in higher education and their chosen careers.

ICS London Mission

“Our innovative approach to education inspires each and every student to discover their strengths within a community of future leaders."

ICS London Vision

“We aim to be a community of compassionate and inspired world citizens."

The International Community School (ICS), as it was known, opened its doors in Marylebone, central London, in 1979.

The school has grown and developed over the years and is now one of just a small group of IB Word Schools offering the full International Baccalaureate (IB) programme. The school was formed upon a set of principles that the founders believed should underpin any school designed for the modern age. These included values such as freedom, internationalism, democracy, respect and the rule of law, and these are still part of the ICS London philosophy today.
