Our Primary Programme

As an International Baccalaureate World School, we offer the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP). Our curriculum prepares students for a future of learning and success. We do this through inquiry, hands-on experiences, and rigorous skill work.

Our curriculum includes the essential elements of a primary education. We teach literacy, mathematics, science, history, art, and music. We also build students' essential social and emotional skills.

Units of inquiry

Each classroom has six 'units of inquiry' each year that enable students to learn concepts and they also provide contexts for study.

Year 6 Unit: Observing the natural world helps people respond to natural disasters (6 weeks).
Teachers guide students on the physical characteristics of Earth. Students conduct scientific fieldwork and collect data. They discover the causes of natural disasters and then students research solutions that societies could adopt to prepare for each disaster.
