This term, IB MYP2 are working on a portraiture project. They are learning about perspective and measuring.
The unit is called 'Alter Ego', inspired by the artist Tom Dixon. Tom created photographs of people half dressed as their alter ego and half dressed as the more 'ordinary' version of themselves.
We were extremely lucky that the professional make up artist and wig maker, Huriye Hemati came in to work with the students. Huriye helped our students create their chosen characters. She brought in four suitcases of make up for them to experiment with!
It has never been so quiet in the art room with the concentration of students working on their own and each other’s designs. We now look forward to enlarging these images using acrylic paint.
