Chess Club

Students will receive chess coaching from a professional coach each session. The coach will provide tips and advice as well as organise mini tournaments throughout the term which will allow students to improve gameplay and strategy.

Yoga Club

Yoga is a fantastic way for improving a child's physical coordination, concentration, stamina, strength, balance and flexibility. We aim to create a friendly and relaxed environment where the children can learn various yoga poses and exercises that will in turn benefit their everyday routine.

TUESDAY - Piano Lessons, Ballet Club, Big Science Club

Piano Lessons

Students will receive individual piano lessons from a trained, professional pianist, our music teacher, Eva! Suitable for all levels. Lessons will be offered for 30 minute slots from 3:30 and running until 5:00. Parents must be able to collect their child at the end time for their individual lesson (either 4:00, 4:30 or 5 pm, which will be discussed with you in advance). Ballet Club

Ballet is the foundation of any dance style! From pliés to jetés, we love to teach ballet technique in a fun and friendly atmosphere, and all with beautiful music. Big Science Club

Join our new science club delivered by Little house of Science and enjoy an environment which is active, full of stimulating project based learning, 'hands-on and brains-on'.  Little House of Science’s guiding principle is to ensure the kids go away with inspiration and enthusiasm about learning and wanting to know more about nature and the supportive facts. We would like to think of ourselves as creating or fostering the spark for the next generation of scientists, but the main aim is to provide a foundation for youngsters where after each session, they will have gone home knowing a little bit more about our wonderful world and how things work.  https://www.littlehouseofscience.com/about_us

WEDNESDAY - Xen-Do, Capoeira Club, Jewellery Club, Video Game Design

Xen-Do Club

Xen-Do is a martial art that develops kickboxing and self-defence techniques. It helps improve students' focus and physical health. The belt system builds students' self-esteem. N.B. There is an additional charge of £50 for a kit (trousers, t-shirt, boots, gloves and bag) for new students joining the club. Parent pick up is at Seymour Leisure Centre at 16:45

Capoeira

Capoeira is a unique and exciting Afro-Brazilian art form that combines elements of dance, martial arts, music and play. Jewellery Design Club

During this club of creation, you will spend 10 weeks designing and creating your own piece of jewellery in a creative and fun environment.  You will get to choose your own materials from beads to ribbons to design a piece of your choice. Every student will get to take his or her piece of jewellery home at the end of each lesson. That is 10 pieces of jewellery during the term!

If you love playing games on your computer or have been intrigued by it, join us in this exciting course. It's a perfect blend of creativity and computing as you design your own game and code it to bring it to life. Understand what makes a game engaging and how to design and build one. It will give you a solid programming foundation and get your creative juices flowing. All experience levels are welcome. Interesting fact: the gaming industry is at an all-time high, worth a $140B, more than three times that of the film industry and an estimated audience of 2.6B people.

Primary School children will take a bus over to Star Street. All students must bring their own device, including ICS Chromebooks. All students must be picked up at 21 Star Street W2 1QB at 5:00 pm. Open to new and experienced students.

Rock Climbing Club - 7 years and up

Trained instructors at Seymour Leisure Centre develop students' balance and core strength. Students work together to climb new heights. Come on, join in; be a risk-taker!

Parent pick up is at Seymour Leisure Centre at 17:00.

School Musical - The Lion King Junior

We are excited to announce our School Musical which will be performed in May.  Due to the date of the performance, students must also sign up for Musical club in Summer term. We are looking for students who would like to act and sing to perform The Lion King Junior for our community. Students will learn all aspects of being a part of a musical production from script reading to costume and set selection.  At the start of the club, students will audition for specific roles in the play. As it will be a formal production, students who join the musical will also be required to attend 2 lunch time clubs every week. 1 day will be focused on learning the singing parts while the other day will be learning how to dance and move in a choreographed piece.  The weekly after school club will be putting all the pieces together to bring Simba’s Pride Rock to ICS.

Students will use different materials and techniques which build on creativity, whilst developing fine motor skills. Students will bring home their piece of art each week to share with their family.
